Shelby Jackson

Founder and Principal Consultant

Shelby Jackson is a organizational capacity builder and systems designer with over a decade of experience strengthening the infrastructure, sustainability, and impact of social justice movements. A citizen of the Cherokee Nation, Shelby is committed to advancing the equitable redistribution of wealth and power to Native and other historically marginalized communities.

Her expertise spans organizational strategy, fundraising and philanthropic partnerships, operations, data and technology, and systems design. She partners with mission-driven organizations to develop the strategies, systems, and infrastructure needed to advance their missions, strengthen organizational capacity, and sustain long-term impact.

Shelby's recent work includes supporting multimillion-dollar Indigenous land rematriation and financing initiatives, developing fundraising strategies and philanthropic partnerships, and strengthening organizational systems and operations. Her approach is informed by experience across funder organizing, philanthropy, nonprofit operations, and grassroots movement building.

Prior to launching her consulting practice, Shelby served as an Advisor at Tides Advocacy and as Senior Manager of Systems & Data and Native Voter Fund Advisor at Movement Voter Project. She previously held a project management role at Movement Strategy Center and served as Board Treasurer of Native Youth Leadership Alliance.

Shelby holds a BA in Anthropology from Dartmouth College.

Nebula

Nebula is Shelby’s right-hand pup in charge of morale and treat breaks. Hailing from Taiwan, Nebula made her journey across the Pacific via AHAN rescue. She enjoys walks in the forest, belly rubs, and chasing squirrels.
